LAND

“Each person, human or no, is bound to every other in a reciprocal relationship. Just as all beings have a duty to me, I have a duty to them. If an animal gives its life to feed me, I am in turn bound to support its life. If I receive a stream’s gift of pure water, then I am responsible for returning a gift in kind. An integral part of a human’s education is to know those duties and how to perform them.”
― Robin Wall Kimmerer

We thrive only if land thrives

I still very much consider myself a student of the land, and will likely for the rest of my life. In even the earliest days of my tutelage I have learned one of the most profound lessons of my life: when you give to the land, you get back so much more than you thought imaginable. I am now taking responsibility for my presence on this planet by being a student and steward to the land, educating others, and including land and natural beings at the center of my work. And, as a budding permaculturalist and herbalist, I continue to strive to embody the laws of nature in everything I do.
